Caregiver Navigation Global, LLC is developing an in-house program (complete with software) to install a Caregiver Navigation Desk at participating hospitals and care centers, where Caregivers, and Patients alike, can ask for services and resources available from the hospital and local community to aid in the care of their loved one or themselves.
As President and Founder of Caregiver Navigation Global, LLC, I see the essence of my business as transformational for caregivers; it is to aid in offering the caregiver guidance and solutions, listening to their needs and to make them feel they are in control of an otherwise completely uncontrollable situation. In that moment, they are empowered, as they feel their voice has been heard, their needs have been said out loud and they feel a sense of hope. With the hospital recognizing the intrinsic value of the caregiver and providing easier access to the services and resources available, they empower the caregiver to provide better support to the patient, which will help the “patient experience” improve exponentially.
My Caregiver Navigation Program will benefit hospitals by reducing the phone call and inbox onslaught of patient and caregiver in2quiries, during their care; thereby reducing the burden on healthcare staff. Also, caregivers are essential to effectively continue the post hospitalization and ongoing care of the patient. Therefore, the more they are supported, the more likely they will be able to provide the exemplary care their loved one deserves.
This improved experience has a domino effect such as helping to prevent caregiver burnout, better at-home healthcare, and overall better experience for caregiver, patient and healthcare staff; leading to improved patient/caregiver satisfaction survey results.
